Who we are

TURN is the Society for Talent Uplift and ReNewal, a Canadian non-profit. Our domain is sfturn.org, our office is in Canada, and our shared inbox is [email protected]. We are subject to Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws.

What we collect

  • Contact form submissions: name, email, topic, message — used only to reply to you.
  • Newsletter signups (The TURN Signal): your email address, used only to send the blog editions and confirmation emails. Double opt-in. Unsubscribe link in every send.
  • Analytics: if you accept the analytics cookie banner, we collect anonymous, aggregated traffic data via Google Analytics 4 so we can see which pages are useful and which need work. No personally identifying data is sent. You can decline.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) logs IP addresses and request paths for security and reliability for a short retention window.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data. Ever.
  • We do not share contact-form submissions with third parties.
  • We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit double opt-in.
  • We do not load advertising tracking pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok, etc.).

Cookies

We use essential cookies for the site to function. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are loaded only after you accept them via the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time using the consent link in the footer.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you what personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Unsubscribe from anything we send.

Email [email protected]. We respond within thirty days under PIPEDA.

Changes

If we change anything material on this page, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, if the change affects you, send a one-time note to the newsletter list.
